24100.00 per annum dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Administration Assistant in our Theatre department at our Exeter Hospital youll provide knowledgeable administrative and practical support to nursing and clinical staff to standards and timescales required whilst using empathy and customers service skills to build relationships. Through great communication and IT skills. Ideally you have experience of working in healthcare administration.

As an Administration Assistant in the Theatre you will:

  • Manage appraise and interpret data information and /or situations.
  • Handle all enquires or queries raised efficiently and effectively escalating appropriately where necessary.
  • Ensure all data/information is entered modified maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.
  • Provide a customer orientated information service for patients visitors consultants and staff.
  • Participate in departmental strategies that reflect Nuffield Health brand the Nuffield Health way of caring goals and objectives.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department pharmacy physiotherapy and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery cardiology including invasive procedures general surgery plastics and cosmetic surgery ENT and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
