HBK isseekingan ambitious goal-oriented Field Sales Engineer to join our team in Germany. The specific region within Germany to be assigned will bedeterminedbased on business needs. This is ahybridrole.
As a Field Sales Engineer you will combine technicalexpertisewith sales acumen to serve as HBKs solutions provider across a wide variety of vertical market applications including but not limited to aerospace defense automotive industrial automation and power measurement industries.
The assigned territory will be within Germany and may be adjusted over time. The role covers a broad range of HBKs sensor products (acoustics strain acceleration force displacement torque power etc.) and associated data acquisition hardware and software. Experience with HBM and Brüel & Kjær products is preferred. You should be comfortable and passionate about selling to both technical end users and upper management.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide full sales coverage for the assigned territory in Germany closing business opportunities.
Regularly report on the business climate in your territory to management.
Identifynew business opportunities andmaintainloyalty among existing customers.
Establish andmaintainprofessional relationships across all levels of thecustomersorganization including engineering marketingpurchasing and senior management.
Plan and execute customer visits and presentations to promote HBK awareness and develop opportunities.
Develop strategies to grow HBKs presence in automotive military machinery and other market segments.
Demonstrate strong technical understanding of key HBK products with the ability to perform basic hardware and software demonstrations.
Participate in regional trade shows and conferences to foster new business.
Develop andmaintainsales forecasts in close coordination with inside sales.
Work closely with product marketing toidentifykey applications where HBK offers unique value.
Support marketing with application information and feedback.
Diligently log sales activities and opportunities in CRM.
Network and prospect for new opportunities and contacts using social media.
Ability to travel at least 25% of the time within Germany.
Professional Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or another technical disciplinestrongly preferred.
Familiarity with selecting and using a variety of sensors data acquisition systems data analysis software and engineering lab equipment.
Working knowledge of B2B consultative selling processes.
Measurement experience in acoustics sound/vibration motors strain force pressure or other physical quantities requiring high accuracy or high-speed data.
Self-motivated organized and able to handle multiple parallel tasks and projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; technical ability to learn a diverse product line is essential.
Ability and experience indemonstratingtechnical products.
Experience selling into system integrators aerospace and defense electric power measurement or motor/inverter industries is a plus.
Proven salestrack recordof meeting or exceeding quota.
Successfulhistory of working from a home office with minimal supervision.
Experience with Miller Heiman Strategic Conceptual Selling or Sandler Sales System is a plus.
A background in software sales is considered a strong advantage.
