Permanent/Temporary: Temporary Not to exceed 1 year from start.

Other Conditions: To begin December 2025 for up to one year but may end sooner dependent on availability of funding and program need. Must be available to work during office business hours M-F 7:45am to 4:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides research support for the Carbon Neutrality project outreach program to educate youth about forest restoration to offset carbon emissions.
Responsible for the maintenance of seedlings of native planets provide constant monitoring of plant growth and maintenance of equipment (i.e. irrigations nutrient dispensers etc.).
Propagate native plants for restoration purposes.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in in arts and sciences or related field.
Functional knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of plant research demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.
Experience with plant nursery work.
Experience with fixing irrigation systems and propagate seeds.
Experience in landscaping.
Familiarity with native tree propagation.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
