Job Description

Essential Functions

• Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence Accountability Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders customers students and members of the community.

• Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education apprenticeships contract and industrial training and other special training projects as well as international programs.

• Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education apprenticeships contract and industrial training and other special training projects as well as international programs.

• Complete documentation including grades etc. as required by the supervisor.

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

• Current LVN or RN license in the State of Texas in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.

• At least 1 year of nursing experience within the last 3 years with direct patient care in a long-term care facility hospital clinic or similar setting.

• Must meet Texas Health & Human Services (HHSC) requirements to teach Nurse Aide Training.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Experience teaching training or supervising CNAs nurse aides or patient care technicians.

• Strong understanding of infection control documentation patient safety and state testing requirements.

• Ability to deliver classroom lab and clinical instruction that meets Texas Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) requirements.

• This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
