Position Responsibilities
Teach middle school and high school band classes
Plan and lead rehearsals concerts and performances
Help students grow in musical skills teamwork and responsibility
Build positive relationships with students and families
Communicate clearly with colleagues and school staff
Participate in school and community events connected to the band program
Qualifications
Kansas teaching license in music education or ability to obtain
Band teaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A student-first approach to teaching and learning
Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
