We are currently recruiting

Social Workers with empathy and the drive to make a difference finding creative ways to support people to achieve what they want to and live as independently as possible in a place they call their home.

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to be based in Skelmersdale and work across Chorley and West Lancashire as part of our Adult Services Learning Disabilities and Autism Community Teams. We currently have 1x Full time Permanent Social Worker role or 1x Full time Fixed term (until 30/09/2026) role available.

Your priority will be ensuring that people with learning disabilities and / or autism are supported to live good lives that include great things such as friends relationships employment good houses positive risk taking and are safeguarded from harm.

You will be involved in offering advice and information to people with learning disabilities and/or autism and others. You will also be involved in assessments and reviews of care arrangements this may include statutory social work such as working with people who have come into the judicial system or making applications to the Court of Protection.

We are a supportive team of enthusiastic practitioners who are dedicated to the people we work alongside and their families. We would be really like to hear from people who think that this sounds like the positive team they would like to join.
