We are presently accepting resumes for a number of Full-Time Developmental Support Worker III Barrie - Temporary Assignment- Days. These positions will be assigned to work in our group homes in Barrie working up to 75 hours biweekly. This is a 6 month contract position with possibility of extension.

Compensation Package:

  • Additional hours may be available with a minimum rate of pay of $25.96/hour;
  • 11 paid Statutory Holidays;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker Early Childhood Education Social Service Worker Nursing Psychology etc.) as determined by the employer is ;
  • 6 months direct work experience with the Developmental Services Sector;
  • Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to attend team meetings and training as during daytime hours;
  • A valid class G drivers license and own reliable transportation is ;

Role/Duties:

Our Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities include providing support for personal care household duties meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
