Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer IV serves as the discipline lead at the project level overseeing electrical design and managing budgets for projects ranging from simple to highly complex. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical documentation development and field implementation across all project phases.

The Electrical Engineer IV is responsible for:

  • Coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Managing multiple priorities and complex tasks.
  • Directing and mentoring electrical design and engineering staff (Entry-Level through Senior).
  • Ensuring workflows align with client expectations and project goals.

The Electrical Engineer IV may work independently or under the direction of a Project Manager and plays a key role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary electrical discipline lead for large complex projects.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules from an electrical design perspective.
  • Interface with clients contractors and external stakeholders.
  • Lead electrical system design programming and master planning.
  • Oversee quality assurance for design documents and calculations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support construction activities including RFIs submittal reviews punch lists and progress reporting.
  • Develop and deliver internal training presentations on electrical design and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals resource planning and scheduling for electrical scope of work.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in a design firm setting.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in electrical system design including lighting power and specialty systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and intermediate knowledge of building codes.
  • Experience leading field surveys and preparing detailed reports.
  • Proficiency in cross-discipline coordination and collaboration with construction partners vendors and manufacturers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and system issues effectively.
