The Benefits and Impact Specialist supports the development and delivery of UKAEAs benefits monitoring and evaluation activities. You will develop and maintain databases of evidence communicate programme impacts and lead activities that promote benefit identification and management. You will also support the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data develop key evaluation questions and create M&E plans.
Your core responsibilities:
- Design deliver and manage in-house and commissioned research and evaluation studies demonstrating UKAEAs impact on science innovation and society.
- Conduct qualitative quantitative and mixed-methods research from developing materials and surveys to data management analysis and evaluation.
- Build and maintain efficient internal data-collection processes to create a comprehensive evidence base of organisational impact.
- Provide training coaching and mentoring to develop skills and capabilities in impact benefits management and evaluation.
- Deliver workshops and training sessions to strengthen organisation-wide understanding of benefits impact and evaluation.
- Produce clear accessible research reports and briefings that communicate evidence effectively.
- Respond to ad-hoc evidence requests including those supporting policy development and government processes such as Spending Reviews.
- Contribute evidence to business cases and other decision-making documents.
- Support the collection of high-quality benefit insights across UKAEA to capture the full breadth and depth of organisational impact.
- Build strong relationships across UKAEA UKIFS and relevant government teams while supporting the Executive Office with reporting dashboards risk management and programme reviews.
Qualifications :
- Experience working with programme benefits and/or monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in managing and analysing quantitative and/or qualitative data.
- Ability to quickly grasp issues and understand the wider context for DESNZ the fusion sector and government.
- Strong capability to absorb new technical information and clearly communicate it to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in building relationships across teams and government.
- Ability to respond swiftly to changing demands and priorities making confident decisions without compromising quality.
