Works with fresh and fixed tissue for histologic and immune-histologic processing and handling. Coordinates and prioritizes laboratory activities.
Duties:
- Provides assistance in specimen processing with chemicals.
- Organizes slides and blocks.
- Assists in staining of tissue sections.
- Prepares solutions and reagents in accordance with standard procedures.
- Uses microscope to collect images from stained slides.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
