The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in issuing medications and conducting inventory of stock levels. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures. Under the supervision of the Pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician may measure mix count label and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
Retrieves pours counts weighs measures and sometimes mixes medication.
Support inventory and quality control.
Performs administrative functions such as answering phones and stocking shelves.
Prepares prescription labels selects the type of container and affixes the prescription and auxiliary labels to the container.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician including 6 months within the last year.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
Must have completed a formal Pharmacy Technician training program leading to a diploma certificate or an associates degree. U.S. Military Pharmacy technical school training certification (4P0X1 68Q or HM-8482) will also fulfill this requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
