Job Summary
Senior Patient Registrar
Location: Flushing NY
Contract Assignment Duration: 25 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 $28 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Senior Patient Registrarfor an exciting job in Flushing NY.
Responsibilities
Register patients accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR) system
Verify patient demographics insurance coverage and benefits
Ensure compliance with healthcare documentation and quality standards
Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone
Perform high-volume data entry with attention to detail
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting
Strong data entry skills (minimum 4500 keystrokes per hour)
Excellent customer service communication and telephone skills
Proficiency with computers and keyboarding
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Some college coursework
35 years of cardiology-related experience in a medical or secretarial setting
Strong proficiency with EHR systems
Knowledge of health insurance benefits and requirements
Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9 CPT-4)
