Job Title: Bistro Cook Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Bistro Supervisor / Food & Beverage Manager Location: Courtyard by Marriott Position Summary: The Bistro Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items in accordance with brand standards at the Courtyard by Marriott Bistro. This role ensures that guests receive consistent fresh and well-prepared meals while maintaining a clean safe and organized kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare cook and serve food items according to Marriott brand recipes portion standards and guest high standards of food quality presentation and consistency.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness by following sanitation safety and food handling procedures at all times.
- Monitor inventory and assist with receiving storing and rotating food supplies properly.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the kitchen and assist with daily prep work.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests at the counter.
- Uphold Marriott brand service standards and promote guest satisfaction.
Qualifications: - Previous cooking experience in a hotel restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand walk bend and lift up to 40 lbs. for extended periods.
