Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

Hume has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
The School aspires to develop young people who are kind creative inquiring socially and emotionally at ease and who strive to achieve their personal best in all their endeavours.
In 2025 the School will have 2960 students and employ some 290 staff - 195 teaching and 95 non-teaching. The student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1448 Donnybrook 1036 and Kalkallo 476.
Ultimately at capacity Hume will have 3640 students (Mt Ridley 1456 Donnybrook 1596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff totalling 350 across its three campuses with plans for further expansion.
As one of Victorias fastest growing schools it is expected to be one of the largest non-government schools in the state with plans for further expansion.

About the role:

Our instrumental music program is growing and we are seeking an Instrumental Music Tutor to cater for demand at Donnybrook campus in a casual capacity. We are looking for a Strings tutor equipped to tutor students in individual or paired lessons.

Instrumental Music Tutors share a significant responsibility in preparing young people to lead successful and productive lives by contributing to their holistic development. They are responsible for exemplary tuition within the Performing Arts department and for forming the strongest of relationships with students colleagues and parents. Instrumental Music Tutors are responsible for teaching as part of Hume Anglican Grammars co-curricular program and may also be responsible for delivering core curriculum (such as compulsory Instrumental Music Programs).

Requirements of the Role:

Current Working with Children Check
Extensive musical experience in the instrument(s) of instruction
