Description:
Develop promote and present programs at Oakwood Lakes State Park and Lake Poinsett Recreation Area. Duties will include but are not limited to assisting or leading annual recurring events researching and presenting recreational natural cultural and environmental programs scheduling programs at 2 parks between May 15 th - Labor Day weekend posting events/programs on park Facebook pages and GoOutdoors calendar create flyers and other means to promote programs and events tracking participation at each program. Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
Ability to work independently or with others manage time well and work in a variety of weather conditions outdoors. Uniforms shirts are provided and employees must comply with uniform dress code. Valid drivers license required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge or experience in teaching and public speaking with adults and children in an outdoor setting. Ability to research new topics to present as a program. Computer skills required. Ability to create flyers and promote events. Skills to work with the public in a professional manner.
