POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will coach high school age students in the sport of soccer. Collaborate with the head coach and athletic director or designee regarding practice activities/strategies. Implement daily practice activities for students. Coordinate game schedules. Accompany and supervise team at home and away games. Develop and promote good community relations among stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish and maintain a positive inclusive learning environment supported by effective classroom management structures that promote high-quality instruction student engagement and academic achievement.
Implement consistent routines that encourage student participation critical thinking creativity and originality.
Collaborate with specialists to design and deliver appropriate and meaningful learning opportunities for students with special needs.
Foster a respectful learning environment that upholds the dignity of all students and is perceived as fair consistent and supportive.
Differentiate instruction to provide enrichment opportunities for advanced learners and targeted support for students who are not yet proficient.
Ensure instructional processes procedures and data collection systems are well organized efficient and make optimal use of instructional time.
Motivate engage and empower students to track and monitor their own fitness and personal progress.
Provide high-quality accurate constructive specific and timely feedback that supports continuous improvement and encourages students to perform at their highest level.
Utilize technology and other communication platforms (e.g. websites podcasts) to effectively share information with students families and other stakeholders.
Actively participate in staff meetings and professional learning opportunities applying new knowledge and skills to enhance instructional programming.
Advocate for and lead initiatives that support student success both in and out of the classroom.
Adhere to the professional Code of Ethics and standards of practice when making decisions and carrying out responsibilities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possible supervision of support personnel.
Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interview participation training/development assign and direct work performance feedback address complaints and resolve problems.

BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
Create and implement effective and efficient process management strategies (e.g. procedures equipment materials and supplies).
Maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards state guidelines and school system policy.
Review processes for improvement opportunities and make changes as needed to ensure quality of program.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Coach fluency will be determined through the interview process and licensure.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Colorado Drivers License.
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) Certification.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent lifting 10 (ten) to 20 (twenty) pounds.
Occasional lifting of up to one hundred fifty (150) pounds.
Frequent sitting bending walking and standing.
Occasional stooping kneeling squatting and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mostly clean and comfortable occasional dirt or dust temperature extremes noise.
Occasional exposure to adverse climate and weather conditions.
May encounter bodily fluids.

REPORTS TO:
Athletic Director or designee.

LOCATION:
Englewood High School.

STIPEND:
Stipend $2489.70 - $4564.45 based on comparable experience paid at the close of the season.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
New hires or rehires will be responsible for the fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

CLOSING DATE:
This position will close January 16. Interview will be conducted after that date.
