SUMMARY:To ensure that the goods and property of the district are received and cataloged in accordance with all legal requirements and Governing Board policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and process all goods ordered by the district pursuant to procurement regulation.
- Notify warehouse supervisor or procurement supervisor of damage or problems with any shipments.
- Notify accounts payable of receipt of goods.
- Deliver goods from central receiving to end user location.
- Affix asset tags to capital and stewardship items meeting asset criteria set by the Governing Board.
- Pick pack and deliver warehouse stock items to the end user location.
- Pick up and deliver courier requests to end user location.
- Pick up and deliver county and state reports fingerprints correspondence and other materials as requested to the City.
- Pick up and deliver surplus to auctions.
- Maintain preventative maintenance and vehicle checklist on vehicle.
- Assist with disposal of assets returns to vendors with inventory and mail courier duties.
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students employees community members and vendors.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with tools including: shrink wrap machine ratchet tie down straps manual jack and electric pallet jacks.
- Experience operating electronic devicessuch as an iPad iPhone or Android.
- Two (2) years prior experience in receiving or property control preferred.
- Two (2) years fork lift experience preferred.
- Fork lift certified preferred.
LICENSING:
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Drivers License.
- Obtain and maintain valid Level I Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Techniques and methods for organizing prioritizing and monitoring work.
- Standard practices methods and materials of assigned work.
- Standard system functions and methods of assigned work.
- Business math concepts.
- Filing and record-keeping principles.
- Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices.
- Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
- Applicable federal state and local laws codes regulations (based on assignment).
- Customer service principles.
- Specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment.
- Modern office technology.
SKILL IN:
- Effective time management and problem solving skills.
- Organizing tasks meeting deadlines and prioritizing competing demands.
- Comprehending reference books and manuals.
- Performing inspections and monitoring safety conditions of vehicle.

Positions in this class require: standing walking bending twisting stooping kneeling crouching crawling reaching pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office and moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and occasionally loud noise.
