SUMMARY
Responsible to set standards for the design maintenance documentation and upgrades of all networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain network communication access and provide first level support.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to ensure continuous network performance.
• Oversee daily monitoring and maintenance of network performance using network management tools to detect mitigate and resolve issues proactively.
• Implement and enforce network security measures such as firewalls IPS/IDS systems and access controls in alignment with company security policies and industry best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations topologies and procedures. Prepare and present reports on network performance incidents and changes to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network technicians fostering skill development and ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
• support network-related projects coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
• Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health Safety and Quality)
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (e.g. DNS FTP SSH ACL VLAN DMZ BGP) general networking technologies network architecture and connectivity troubleshooting
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking (AWS Azure etc.) and hybrid network architectures.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and professionally with non-technical staff
• Background in project management and experience leading multi-phase network projects
• Thoroughly understand VPN Technologies (IPSEC DMVPN S2S L3VPN VPLS)
• Thoroughly understand the following routing protocols: EIGRP OSPF and BGP
• Thoroughly understand how to install and implement Cisco WAN/LAN routers/switches in small medium and enterprise environments: Ex. ASRs ISRs Catalysts
• Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed
• Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance
• Thorough experience performing packet capture analysis or running Wireshark is highly desirable.
• Review and/or approve Network engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet Network needs and are accurate comprehensive and complete
• Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating Network integration activities among multiple teams ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
• Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository.

Desired Requirements:

Certification:CCNA or equivalent (e.g. CompTIA Network JNCIA etc.)

Experience:Minimum 5 years in network admins roles supporting enterprise-scale environments.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Understanding of common business applications i.e. Excel and Word. Skills to design WAN. Ability to use network diagnostic tools testers analyzers. Design solutions in a hierarchal manner. Mentoring abilities. Need to know the OSI model. Understand network connectivity concepts. Basic understanding of Ethernet. Inventory Tracking. Working knowledge of organization structure. Network monitoring and management skills. Extensive experience and judgment in planning and goal accomplishment. Personnel management skills. Experience in design and implementation of advanced networks. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time. Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time. Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking reaching carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individuals primary workstation is located in the office area with some time spent on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
