Registered Pharmacy Technician I 2nd Shift

Work hours: Full time 40 hours12:30pm- 9pm or 2:30pm -11pm some holidays rotating weekends may have to rotate on overnights.

Heres What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire required

Sterile IV Certification highly preferred

Prior inpatient hospital experience highly preferred

Proficiency in written and verbal English language computers the ability to adapt to various software systems and basic math including conversions proportions ratios and algebra.

The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

What You Will Do

Timely and accurate preparation delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so varies by location.

Ensuring accuracy of ones own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards programs and initiatives.

Ongoing professional development and growth leads by example perpetuates accountability manages own time.

Communicate effectively develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks under the direction of designated personnel.

Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
