Job Summary
The APRN or PA will work in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for cardiology patients. The provision of care includes but is not limited to analyzing pathophysiology for various cardiovascular disease processes developing cardiovascular diagnoses while formulating a treatment plan and evaluate patient response to treatment and utilizing evidence-based medicine practices using quality cost-effective care.
Position Details: - See patients in both the hospital and clinic setting - Educating patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease process including primary and secondary cardiac prevention while remaining cognizant of the patients emotional physical and cultural needs - Providing effective communication and presentation skills with the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP. Doctorate preferred.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.
BLS & ACLS required. Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
