Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient-centered rehabilitative care in an acute care hospital setting. The OT will manage the full continuum of occupational therapy services for assigned patients collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize functional outcomes patient engagement and overall quality of care. This role provides exposure to diverse patient populations across medical surgical neurological orthopedic and cardiovascular service lines.
Required Qualifications:
Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT)
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
1 year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and implement treatment interventions in accordance with professional standards and state regulations.
Assess therapeutic rehabilitative and functional status to support patient placement and individualized plan of care development.
Deliver skilled purposeful interventions aligned with physician orders to promote functional improvement and independence.
Monitor patient progress observe responses to treatment and communicate changes in condition to the care team.
Coordinate care plans with physicians interdisciplinary teams patients and families including communication of payor-related requirements.
Prioritize caseloads effectively coordinate daily assignments and ensure smooth care transitions and handoffs.
