By joining our rapidly growing Risk Advisory practice you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients. Youll bring your first-hand experience unique perspectives and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help clients solve todays challenges and set the foundation for future success. As Managing Director at CrossCountry Consulting you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of our Chicago presence across Industry Manufacturing Healthcare & Lifesciences and shaping the future of our Risk Advisory practice.

What Youll Do

    • Market Leadership & Growth
    • Expand CrossCountrys Risk Advisory presence in the Chicago market through strategic relationship development and targeted business development efforts
    • Originate new client relationships leveraging your existing local and national network and introductions from local regional and national leadership
    • Develop and execute go-to-market activities and shape our Chicago risk growth strategy aligned to priority industries and buyers needs
    • Client Delivery
    • Lead complex risk transformation operational risk and enterprise risk engagements.
    • Design and implement operating models governance structures RCSA programs and control frameworks.
    • Provide senior-level advisory across risk domains ensuring client satisfaction and program integrity.
    • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved AI-enabled solutions for clients in accordance with company policies on data protection intellectual property and professional standards.
    • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify and champion compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
    • Practice Leadership
    • Oversee client accounts projects and engagements
    • Develop timely resolutions to issues mitigate risks and address project team conflicts.
    • Coach teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

What Youll Bring

    • Proven ability to originate and close advisory work with portable Chicago relationships and a measurable track record of revenue generation
    • Extensive experience in Risk Consulting Operational Risk and Risk Transformation; familiarity with COSO ERM operational resilience RCSA methodologies and controls design.
    • 15 years in advisory roles with team leadership experience and a track record of leading large complex programs/transformation efforts and multi-disciplinary teams
    • Ability to advise and influence at the C-suite level and collaborate across risk technology governance and transformation domains.
    • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
    • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build offerings teams and client relationships in a growth-oriented consulting environment

Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
    • Certifications such as CIA CISA CCSA CPA preferred.
    • Willingness to travel up to 30% (varies by client).
    • Ability to work a hybrid schedule out of our Chicago office.

For applicants located in Illinois CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills experience education licenses certifications business needs and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $225000 - $470000 per year annual bonus additional benefits.
