Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design develop integrate market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enable our customers - the worlds leading chipmakers to increase the production yields and thus functionality of their microchips which in turn leads to smaller more powerful consumer electronics.

Founded in 2016 we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 300 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

About the job:

We are seeking an experienced end to end leader to leadNearfield InstrumentsTaiwan. This individual will haveend-to-end responsibilityfor driving business growth executing large client programs and ensuring delivery of high-quality products and services to support our corporate goals.

TheCountryManagerwill act as bothbusiness leader and generalmanager overseeing Sales Marketing Manufacturing and R&D operations inTaiwan. This role requires deep expertise insemiconductor front-end processesandequipment solutionsacross lithography etching CMP and integration with a proven ability to turn complex customer challenges into high-value scalable solutions.

What will you be doing

  • Lead Nearfield InstrumentsTaiwanwithfull P&L responsibilityand accountability for growth market share and customer success.

  • Drivestrategic planning and executionforTaiwansite operations aligned with corporate vision.

  • Oversee and integrateSales Marketingsupport and R&D activitiesto support regional customers.

  • Develop and maintainlong-term relationships with top-tier semiconductor manufacturers ensuring Nearfield is thePartner of Choice (POC).

  • Translatecustomer voice into product improvements working closely with HQ R&D Applications and local support teams.

  • Leadbusiness development initiativesto capture new opportunities and expand Nearfields footprint inTaiwanand the broader APAC market.

  • Providetrusted leadershipto foster collaboration across local and global teams ensuring One Team culture.

  • Uphold the highest standards ofethics and integrityin business management and customer partnerships.

What do we require from you

  • MSc/PhD in Engineering Physics Materials Science or related field; MBA preferred.

  • 15 years of leadership experience in thesemiconductor equipment industry with a focus on lithography etch CMP and/or metrology.

  • Demonstrated track record ofgrowing business leading complex programs and managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated track record of providing excellent customer support and service

  • Strong background infront-end process technologiesandsemiconductor consumables/materials development.

  • Proven ability to build and managestrategic customer relationships at the executive level.

  • Highly motivated disciplined and resourcefulmanagerwith strong problem-solving and execution skills.

  • Experience in leadingnew product introductionsfrom development to manufacturability and market adoption.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Mandarin.
