Job Description
A reputable healthcare system in New Hampshire is seeking an Office/Procedural Nurse to join its Cardiology team. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on procedural support clinical triage and patient education with the opportunity to collaborate closely with cardiology pulmonary and primary care providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret vital signs pulse oximetry spirometry and basic diagnostic tests
- Obtain and document cardiopulmonary medical and medication histories
- Assist with and support Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) Cardioversions Stress Tests and other cardiac diagnostic procedures
- Triage cardiac and pulmonary concerns both in-person and over the phone providing appropriate guidance and escalation
- Identify and report abnormal findings patient symptoms or concerns to the appropriate provider
- Cross-train and work within the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department including monitoring patient vitals safety and tolerance during rehab sessions
- Provide clear and supportive patient education related to diagnoses medications procedures and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license.
- Prior cardiology experience preferred
