Job Description
Our client is a dedicated and well-organized accounting firm seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Corner Brook NL. The firm offers a friendly work environment with strong opportunities for professional development.
This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of accounting tax and assurance engagements while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Prepare and review year-end files
- Prepare and review corporate and personal income tax returns
- Perform compilation engagements
- Participate in assurance engagements including review and audit engagements
- Maintain strong client relationships and participate in business development as needed
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Minimum three years experience in public practice accounting
- CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software including Sage QuickBooks Cantax and Caseware
- Strong organizational time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of personal integrity
- Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
