Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to provide acute inpatient rehabilitation in a high-acuity hospital setting. The PT will deliver comprehensive patient-centered care to medically complex adult and pediatric patients including those recovering from stroke trauma cardiac events orthopedic procedures and surgery. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team the PT will focus on functional recovery safe discharge planning and optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Active Florida Physical Therapy License
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
Minimum 1 year of professional Physical Therapy experience
BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with physician orders and patient goals.
Deliver skilled interventions targeting mobility strength balance endurance and functional independence.
Monitor patient progress document outcomes and adjust plans of care as clinically indicated.
Educate patients families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises adaptive equipment and safety strategies for recovery beyond therapy sessions.
Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and rehabilitation teams to ensure coordinated care and timely transitions.
Manage caseloads prioritize assignments and support efficient patient throughput.
