PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Associate principal serves as a member of the administrative team to develop and implement the total school RESPONSIBILITIESOversees the daily management of designated campus employeesOversees designated educators in the school providing periodic observations and evaluations that are timely and constructive and completed based on the timetables set by the school districtOffers additional training and guidance as necessary based on evaluations of professional staffPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlanning the School Program - Assists to provide direction to staff in implementing goals and objectives and interact and meets with staff to assist in their School Program - Assists in the development and establishing of the school goals and objectives. Interacts and meets with staff to assists in their and Remediation of the School Program- Evaluates staff to initiate needed improvements provides professional development opportunities and growth. Assists in evaluation of the school and Communicating the School Formal Structure- Communicates and carries out established policies delegates and accepts responsibility for completion of tasks and communicates program goals objectives and Organizational Efficiency- Promotes and maintains open communications positive student attitudes respects dignity worth of staff students and complies with established lines of control. Build a school culture based on accountability and respect. Ensure a safe environment for all School Partnership- Works in conjunction with the treatment center to improve student achievement. Alternate contact for communication between the treatment center and the school information system to include PEIMS state testing coordinator ensures formative and summative assessments are conductedEnsures student graduation plans are current and students are in appropriate the campus by setting the duties as Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to professionally and effectively communicate with educators parents and community leadersExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExtremely effective administration of multifaceted operationsThorough understanding of applicable local state and federal educational laws regulations policies and requirementsThorough understanding of instructional methodologyKnowledge of best practices in education and educational administrationAbility to identify and solve problemsCreative thinking skillsAbility to create understand and implement budgets and budgeting practicesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareRequirementsPrincipals Certification or currently in a Principals Certification program3 years of experience in teachingPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesMust be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as neededTravel around the district and community as necessary
