Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 410-hour shifts
Schedule: Friday Monday 9:00 PM 7:30 AM
Location: Rochester NY
Unit: MRI
Compensation
Gross Weekly: $3004/week
W2 Rate: $38/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1484
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and compliance with established imaging protocols. This role supports diagnostic accuracy through precise image acquisition and collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
Operate MRI equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards including isolation precautions.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within PACS and related systems.
Assist with special and advanced imaging procedures as required.
Ensure proper care cleaning and routine maintenance of MRI equipment.
Communicate effectively with radiologists nurses and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Follow all facility policies infection control standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
ARRT (R) Certification
BLS Certification (AHA required)
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine License with injection certification
Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required (2 years preferred)
Experience working with isolation precautions and special imaging procedures
