Job Summary

Overview /Objective

The NFL Films Fellowship Program will identify develop and connect the next generation of sports storytellers. This one-year departmental rotational experience is designed for the college graduate who is interested in learning sports film production from some of the best professionals in the industry. The primary objective is to provide participants with a unique opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience in a professional setting while working alongside leaders who will serve as advisors to develop skills in a supportive environment.

The Fellowship program will serve as a one-year boot camp specific to sports storytelling; by the culmination of the program Fellows will be prepared to and pursue full-time or seasonal opportunities at NFL Films and catapult their careers as a sports storyteller.

Responsibilities

Program participants will rotate across several departments over a one-year period in our NFL Films (Mt. Laurel NJ). We are aiming to have this program start early May 2026.

During the program participants are given project-based assignments. The experience will allow participants a rare opportunity to observe and participate in a supportive work environment and learn first-hand how a production is produced from the ground up. Specific department will be determined based on business need and Fellows area of expertise and interest; however a few examples are the creative producers department post production and field production.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent schooling
  • Participant in NFL talent partner program with under 5 years of experience
  • Interest in learning sports film production and ability to dramatize stories
  • An advanced knowledge of football historically and within the current sports landscape
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient research abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to be creative

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of production coordinating or related industry experience
  • Working knowledge of tv/film production including basic camera audio & lighting equipment as well as crew roles and responsibilities on set
  • NonLinear editing skills especially Avid Media Composer
  • Basic storytelling skills
  • Creative person who wants to tell football stories
  • Ability to work with a large group of creative people
  • Deep Knowledge and love of football
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong creative writing ability
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills and high-level attention to detail

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • 5 days a week approximately 40-hours

Please note: While the NFL does not currently offer relocation assistanceselect candidates may be eligible for a housing stipend based on program criteria. Eligibility will be reviewed with candidates under consideration for an offer.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
