One year of experience or training as a mechanic.
Job Duties:
* Performs entry level repair/maintenance and inspection related activities on vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
* Assists higher level mechanics in working on a variety of mobile equipment and vehicles.
* May also be responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment powered by small internal combustion engines such as: lawnmowers string trimmers outboard motors etc. Tasks may include spark plug replacement carburetor cleaning starter repair and filter replacement.
* Removes and cleans fuel tanks.
* May maintain inventory of tools instruments and supplies.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.
Location:This vacancy is located East Baton Rouge.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rate for these positions are as follows:
Mechanic 1 (WS-210) - $1374.40
Mechanic 2 (WS-212) - $1573.60
Mechanic 3 (WS-213) - $1684.00
