The Role
This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You may be supporting one main pupil with higher needs while also assisting other SEN pupils throughout the day.
You will work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials support behaviour and ensure pupils feel safe supported and able to engage fully with learning.
Key Responsibilities
Providing consistent 1:1 SEN support
Supporting pupils academic and emotional development
Assisting with classroom routines and learning activities
Implementing behaviour support strategies
Supporting pupils with social skills and peer interaction
Working collaboratively with SEN and pastoral staff
Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers
Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary school
Confident behaviour management skills
Calm empathetic and resilient approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
