The Opportunity & Role Profile
This thriving primary school rated Outstanding by Ofsted requires a reliable and practical Caretaker to be responsible for the daily operational security routine maintenance and overall cleanliness of the premises. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe tidy and welcoming environment that supports the high standards of the school.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Premises Security: Acting as the primary key holder managing alarm systems and securely locking up and opening the premises according to the school schedule.
Maintenance & Repair: Performing minor routine repairs (e.g. plumbing joinery decoration) and conducting regular site safety checks.
Grounds & Cleaning Oversight: Maintaining external areas and supervising external cleaning contractors to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a site maintenance or caretaking role strong DIY skills and a flexible proactive approach to work.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (expected to beper annum).
