Job Duties / Responsibilities
Be a part of the Underground Technology Engineering Team engaging with stakeholders on schedule process and quality goals.
Regular collaboration with globally distributed teams including:
o Build and Continuous Integration agile team including scrum-master product owner and build engineers.
o Various architects and software development teams responsible for writing the Underground Autonomy Software
o Global information systems team members who provide our enterprise IT systems and services
Responsible for management of centralized software build infrastructure:
o Scope includes Jenkins server application and job configurations including build agents.
o Maintaining performance and reliability of existing builds
o Design and implementation of new builds.
o Identifying and proposing opportunities for introducing new infrastructure and tooling to improve outcomes.
o Working with product owner scrum master and others to prioritise and schedule team deliverables
o Maintaining and developing documentation of build system architecture and processes
o Monitoring and ensuring ongoing health of build infrastructure where scope includes VM performance and availability system administration of server operating systems integration with enterprise systems and continued execution of software builds.
Provide strong technical knowledge:
o To build engineers to grow their capacity to perform high quality and efficient work with our software build systems
o To developers to help them best make use of centralised and continuous integration build systems
o To architects to ensure system design considers how build systems can best be implemented.
