Job Summary

DevOps Engineer (Generalist)

Location: Hybrid New York City (must be local)

Duration: 6 months

Focus:

Support SRHG-wide AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure. Own day-to-day operations improve visibility and reduce platform toil so the core team can focus on Lego (shared infra buildout).

Core Skills:

Strong understanding of AWS (IAM S3 EC2 CloudTrail RDS VPC Transit Gateway)

Proficient with Kubernetes / EKS (cluster ops manifests RBAC upgrades)

Experience with Datadog (dashboards alerts APM)

Comfortable with GitHub Actions (workflows runners secrets)

Familiar with FinOps practices and cost tools (nOps Kubecost tagging resource optimization)

Expectations:

Execute small infra projects independently

Respond to AWS/EKS issues and follow through to resolution

Improve tagging monitoring and cost visibility across environments

Collaborate with internal engineers to offload repeatable operational work

Contribute to shared tooling and documentation
