Job Summary

Role: Sr. App Dev Business Analyst

Location: Austin TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 8 months Contract with possibility to extension

Job Description:

Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding the expectations of both internal and external customers by actively seeking first-hand customer insights and using that feedback to drive continuous improvements in products and services. Consistently communicates and acts with the clients needs in mind building and maintaining effective relationships that earn trust and respect. Brings the ability to solve complex and challenging problems by asking thoughtful questions probing multiple sources for accurate information and identifying underlying issues and patterns while applying honest analysis looking beyond the obvious and persisting until effective solutions are found.

Requirements:

Ability to work on complex business problems analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements.
Work closely with end users to develop a detailed understanding of user IT needs and define requirements for new or improved systems.
Conduct requirements gathering meetings. Document meeting minutes and drive closure of action items.
Experience visualizing diagramming and explaining As-Is and To-Be business process flows.
Consults with technical or functional experts at all levels to obtain requirements and develop solution proposals.
Function as liaison between the Business units IT department vendor and/or the user community.
Provides project and business level analysis and can get hands on with producing required project analysis documentation.
Coordinates analyzes and interprets internal and external client system requirements workflows and data.
Develops process flows work flows data flows process and technical documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years demonstrated hands-on experience in business analysis in the technology industry including preparing business analysis and project documents.
Strong communication and facilitation skills (both verbal and written).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to act in a consultative role to understand functional business processes related IT needs and to develop solutions and delivery proposals.
Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
Strong process requirements and technical writing skills.
Proficient with modeling and mapping tools (e.g. Visio).
Strong facilitation skills including leading meetings presentation skills and problem resolution/mediation.
Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to work through the issues to get the right things done.
Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately.
