Austek Roads Victoria are currently seeking an experienced Construction Foremanto join their dynamic successful team based at Pakenham VIC.
The Construction Foreman will manage the day-to-day implementation and control of work practices associated with the project to ensure best practice techniques are utilised to achieve the safe and timely completion of your dedicated project/s to quality standards.
Your position as site supervisor requires you to ensure effective and cost-efficient management of personnel plant and equipment to enable Austek Roads Vic Pty Ltd to achieve its operational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Set performance goals and project deadline goals that align with the companys larger plans
- Co-ordinate field workers to work fronts on your project/s
- Trackprogress and provide constructivefeedback throughout your project/s
- Address problems with work quality issues between employees and other concernsin an effective&timelymanner
- Comprehensive understanding of the scope and program for your project/s
- Accurate daily planning and scheduling of all minor projects and communicating with Operation Co-Ordinator
- Ensure all team members arriving to site have relevant training and completed training documentation for site tasks and equipment
- Management of site inductions refreshers and licencing
- Conduct toolbox talks
- Weekly Job Safety Observations completed
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed
- Conduct performance reviews
- Ensure all resources and assets are utilised efficiently and managed on site
- Manage and monitor site materials supplies labour and machine requirements
Required skills and experience:
- 10 years experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
- Experience with VicRoads/Department of Transport Projects up to $10m desirable but not essential
- Drivers license and White Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Machine Tickets
- Supervisor Course covering risk management Safety & Health investigations Communicate Information
- Strong leadership & communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong adherence to accountability
- Ability to use initiative and be self-motivated
Ability to work under pressure and adherence to planneddeadlines - Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment (including Drug and Alcohol Testing)
