This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant with experience working in the civil or construction industry. Our client is a multidisciplinary family-owned civil contractor with their own plant hire fleet providing comprehensive civil and piling services nationally.

This National Civil Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who will lead the monthly reporting and analysis. Reporting to the Directors your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Financial statement preparation
Three-way forecast and reporting to Directors
P&L reviews and analysis
WIP reporting and performance reviews
Invoicing on day works and contract civil package works
Lead and review transactional accounts
Account reconciliations
EOM reporting following deadlines at a project and business unit level
Review and prepare budgets

Suitable candidates will have the following:

CA/CPA qualified
Desirable to have proven experience reporting in a commercial business
Background in chartered is favourable
A working knowledge of MYOB software is essential
Construction and/or Civil industries experience is essential
High proficiency (ie advanced) in MS Excel is essential
Ability to manage deadlines effectively and efficiently

This individual will have strong communication skills and experience in building strong relationships across the business & externally. You will ensure operational and financial targets are met across the business. Experience required working within the civil & construction industry beneficial having worked for a business with a number of subsidiaries.
