Civil Engineering interns will be located in Sasakis Boston office.

Planning specific examples/work: Here is what you need to know:

Location: Boston MA
The summer internship is an in-person internship.

10-12 week program from June 1 - August 28th 2026 (end dates will be determined on academic need preference. Start date is firm.)

What you bring:

Currently pursuing a professional degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
Self-motivated clear thinker ready to jump into our interdisciplinary approach to planning and design
Working knowledge of AutoCAD experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling programs
Curiosity and willingness to learn about all aspects of the built environment
Work efficiently and smart always thinking of ways to be most effective with your time

What youll do:

Position responsibilities will include assisting with layout grading drainage and utility design permitting and cost estimating
Learn about and engage within the phases aspects and operations of a highly functioning multi-disciplinary firm supporting the engineering team with their daily functions and roles
Work alongside designers from other disciplines including architecture landscape architecture and urban planning
Engage with Sasakians through office-wide events lunch-and-learn presentations and social gatherings
Provide flexibility in developing alternative concepts to solve complex design problems
Apply problem-solving skills and perform rigorous analysis as well as communicate the results to both engineers and non-engineers
Gather foundational research on site environmental conditions and regulatory contexts to inform project teams
Assist with the drafting and documentation of drawing submissions with an attention to detail
