Job Summary

Role: Systems Engineer

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $57/hr W2 non-benefited

Length: Long-term

Location:Scottsdale AZ

Clearance: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.

Desired Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Experience with system/software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP)
Familiarity with operating systems (e.g. Linux Windows)
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper-V)
Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
Tracking mission design knowledge
Satellite communications knowledge
Ground to satellite communication knowledge
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
Experience with systems design integration and validation
Proficiency in requirements analysis and system architecture design
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation)
Security and Compliance
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST and ISO 27001
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams strong problem-solving and analytical skills proficiency in documenting system designs configurations and procedures
Proficiency in systems engineering including decomposing requirements into architecture interfaces and design behavior experience with ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite/payload situational awareness experience tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport handling and analysis experience decomposing high-level space-ground systems design into ground software and systems design
Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java Python and MATLAB for software developer coordination system analysis prototype algorithm development or modeling
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK particularly in aerospace applications
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices experience with automation tools such as Ansible Puppet and Chef

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science Engineering Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
