Responsibilities- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Review and check incoming manifests and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) and manages Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFFCs)
- Submit 15-day unresolved discrepancy letters and unmanifested waste reports.
- Complete and submit semi-monthly Health & Safety inspection reports.
- Ensure adherence to special manifest correction/discrepancy/mailing procedures required by select customers.
- Assist the Compliance Manager with the preparation of reports and conduct on-site inspections and with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
- RCRA/OSHA training modules as requested by the Compliance Manager .
- Rectify issues on the receiving flash report or seek assistance of the Compliance Manager on issues outside of assigned authority.
- Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner; Responsible for telephone coverage after normal business hours as requested. .
- Responsible for archiving old files as directed by the Compliance Manager.
- Conduct tours of the facility as directed by the Compliance Manager.
- Issue exception reports for outbound loads if return copy is not received within 30 days of waste shipment.
- Review facility permits to gain an understanding of the permit conditions/limitations.
- Keep abreast of the regulations/regulatory requirements by reviewing corporate compliance Q & A summaries describing regulatory changes.
- Maintain inspection trans-ship inspection and daily inventory files.
- Create and maintain facility training spreadsheet and field training documents.
- Notify Compliance Manager of incidents/accidents.
Qualifications- Ability to perform functions per key responsibilities
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Successfully complete a background check drug test and physical by position
- Per OSHAs Respiratory Protection standard 29 CFR 1910.34 employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
