| Responsibilities: | The Graduate Assistants responsibilities are divided into three main areas: Administrative Tasks The GA will be responsible for tracking and managing weekly and monthly administrative tasks for Resident Advisors (RAs). These tasks include but are not limited to: - Weekly emails
- Weekly reports
- Program proposals
- Program tracking forms
- Bulletin boards
- Door decorations
- Duty logs
Case Management The GA will assist the RHD with low-level student cases including: - Roommate Conflicts: Mediating and resolving low-level roommate concerns such as hygiene bedtimes and cleaning schedules.
- Health and Safety Violations: Addressing and documenting minor health and safety violations.
- Policy Violations: Managing first-time violations of Residential Life policies.
- Student Care: Providing support to students who are struggling to find friends or a sense of community.
Ad hoc Work The GA will also be responsible for various tasks as needed including: - Implementing and overseeing laundry protocols.
- Addressing low-level facility concerns.
- Inspecting rooms to ensure they are move-in ready or have been properly vacated.
- Partnering with campus partners to host events and programs.

| Qualifications: | - Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to student development and community building.
- Previous experience in residence life or a related field is preferred but not required.

Compensation | Compensation includes: - A furnished one-bedroom apartment.
- A Silver meal plan.
As a condition of employment the Graduate Assistant is required to reside in the furnished one-bedroom apartment provided by the University within the assigned residence hall. This lodging is furnished on university premises for the convenience of the employer to enable on-call availability crisis response and performance of essential Residential Life duties. During scheduled duty or on-call assignments the Graduate Assistant is required to remain on campus and available. Meals furnished under the University meal plan are provided on university premises for the convenience of the employer and are intended solely to support on-duty requirements during those periods. |

| Hours of Position: | The Graduate Assistant is expected to work 20 hours per week. - Please note: The person accepting this role cannot work or hold another paid position on campus.
