A vacancy has arisen for Squadron Leader (Any Profession) to serve as IDT (RAF) COS at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date being not before 01 June 2026 (or later subject to candidate status).

Brief description of role:

IDT(RAF)COS is a diverse and rewarding post which directly supports Defence Engagement. IDT(RAF) coordinates up to 16 Million pa in sales of Phase 1 2 and 3 RAF training capacity to overseas military students and Defence contractors. IDT (RAF)COS commands directs and supervises 2 teams of Civil Servants. The first facilitates UK Defence sales coordinating with relevant schools and setting up training contracts with the Defence contractor. The second team provide the finance and business (F&B) support to IDT(RAF). F&B comprises the tracking and invoicing of all IDT International and Defence Contractor business including programmes for the Middle East flying and technical training; the Rest of the World training programmes; and the IDT MIOT. IDT(RAF)COS drives financial performance against agreed targets business plans and objectives working collaboratively with stakeholders within the business and from other functions. IDT (RAF) COS prepares the IDT business plan and monitors I&E throughout the FY profiles funding for the forthcoming years originates the ABC with a view to constant analyse and improve business liaison with relevant stakeholders IDT(RAF) COS collates the IDT SOTR each year including both International and Defence contractors. The job is based at RAF High Wycombe and you should expect to be in the office at least 3 days a week with the remaining time working from home or at a collaborative working area.
