1250 Recruiter job description

Under general direction coordinates directs and conducts the recruitment activities for a department or large division which may include employer branding networking marketing campaigns and developing partnerships.

MAJOR IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

1. Identifies assesses and engages a diverse pool of potential qualified candidates through proactive networking internal/external partnerships print on-line and in-person recruitment techniques

2. Develops and reviews recruitment plans and job announcements makes presentations screens and interviews applicants and makes hiring recommendations.

3. Develops and manages employer branding and marketing campaigns.

4. Works closely with hiring managers to understand the hiring needs collaborate on recruitment and hiring initiatives and inform the hiring managers on the progress of initiatives.

5. Researches and evaluates approaches and strategies to recruitment; develops maintains and analyzes statistics on recruitment activities; summarizes research and statistical findings in written reports.

6. Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications :

1250 Recruiter - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.

      1. Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

      2. Experience: Two (2) years of verifiable professional-level experience in recruitment.

     3. EXEMPT-TO-PERMANENT (E2P) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT FOR THE 1250 CLASSIFICATION

         In accordance with Civil Service Rule 111.37.3 to be eligible for the Exempt-to-Permanent (E2P)                           recruitment process a candidate must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a current Category 16 17 or 18 exempt employee
  • Serving in the 1250 Recruiter classification and
  • Have continuously worked a minimum of 2080 hours (equivalent to one full-time year) in the 1250 class with no breaks in service.

Special Conditions applicable to 1250 Recruiter positions at San Francisco Airport Commission

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance (For AIR positions only): Candidates for employment with the San Francisco Airport Commission are required to undergo a criminal history record check including FBI fingerprints and Security Threat Assessment in order to determine eligibility for security clearance and may be required to undergo drug/alcohol screening. Per Civil Service Commission Rule Section 110.9.1 every applicant for an examination must possess and maintain the qualifications required by law and by the examination announcement for the examination. Failure to obtain and maintain security clearance may be basis for termination from employment with the Airport Commission.

SELECTION PROCEDURES:

Instead they will be evaluated based on their responses to the Preliminary Questionnaire which will serve as the Training and Experience Assessment for this recruitment.

ELIGIBLE LIST: A confidential eligible list of qualified candidates will be created and used for certification purposes only. An score report will be established so applicants can view the ranks final scores and number of eligible candidates. However an eligible list shall be made available for public inspection upon request once the eligible list is exhausted or expired and referrals resolved. The eligible list/score report resulting from this selection process is subject to change after adoption (e.g. as a result of appeals) as directed by the Human Resources Director or the Civil Service Commission.

DURATION OF ELIGILBLE LIST: The duration of the eligible list resulting from this examination process will be 6 months and may be extended with approval of the Human Resources Director.

CERTIFICATION RULE: The certification rule for this recruitment is RULE OF LIST.  This means that hiring managers can choose any candidate from the entire certified list of eligible applicants not just the top ranks (highest scorers).
