Job Summary
Included but not limited to:
- Build and execute the Global Medical strategy including but not limited to the following deliverables:
- Build and execute global medical strategy and tactical plan
- Manage engagement of global KOLs in the therapeutic area
- Give input to clinical studies (RWE phase IV) as required
- Collaborate with the scientific/communication director to develop the communication strategy
- External and internal training and training material
- Scientific input to scientific publications
- Support to cross-functional projects
- Provide scientific input to the development and review of promotional material
- To be successful in his role the (Senior) Director Medical Affairs
- Will possess and continue to develop significant level of knowledge on lipidology and cardiometabolic
- Will develop productive relationships and contributions key opinion leaders and scientific societies
- Will develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross-functional headquarter team as well as with local affiliate offices and collaborative partners
- Will role model the highest scientific and ethical standards and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards medical activities activities
Qualifications :
Experience/Competencies
Required
- Medical degree or PhD
- Relevant global medical affairs experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (7 years) including proven previous global launch
- Previous relevant experience (5 years) in cardiometabolic/lipidology
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans
- Experience and ability to engage with key external stakeholders
Desired
- Specialty in cardiology lipidology endocrinology
Skills/Languages
Required
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyse medical/scientific literature
- Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills capable of representing the company to all audiences both internally and externally particularly in the context of collaborations at international conferences and scientific symposia
- Excellent organizational skills be a self-motivated driver of best practices and processes in the management of projects and operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
