Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00a-3:00p
Annual Pay Range: $17.02 - $20.00
Supplemental Pay:Based on position schedule and/or availability: Paid Mileage/Overtime
Mileage and Expense Reimbursement:Sixty-two and a half cents per mile one of the highest in the industry!

REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting the kitchen staff and Registered Dietitian in preparing servingand cleaning up meals and snacks for PACE participants in compliance with established menus sanitationguidelines and therapeutic dietary requirements. This role directly impacts the daily well-being andsatisfaction of our frail elderly participants. Adherence to strict food safety protocols and compassionateparticipant interaction are paramount.
- Possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills to support participants and families as well as promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of various developmental stages.
- Seeks opportunities for professional growth including demonstrating the ability to accept direction from professional staff of all disciplines and to receive constructive performance feedback.
- Assists in the preparation and portioning of meals snacks and supplements according to standardized recipes and planned menus.
- Dietary Compliance: Follow written and verbal instructions regarding therapeutic diets (e.g. low-sodium diabetic pureed thickened liquids) and participant preferences.
- Assembles meal trays for participants ensuring correct utensils condiments and dietary modifications are included.
- Serves meals directly to participants in the dining area assisting them as needed andensuring a pleasant and welcoming dining experience.
- Observes participants meal consumption and reports any significant changes in appetite or refusal of food/liquids to their supervisor or nursing staff immediately.
- Maintains strict adherence to all local state and federal guidelines for food handlingpreparation and storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes all kitchen equipment including dishes pots pans utensils serving cartscounters floors and the dining area immediately after use.
- Disposes of food waste and trash following established center procedures.
- Monitors and records food temperatures prior to serving and maintain temperature logs for refrigerators and freezers.
- Receives dates labels and stores incoming food kitchen supplies and supplements correctly rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Ensures all food stations beverage areas and snack areas are stocked andreadily available throughout the day.
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of professional experience preferred minimum one year experience working withthe frail and elderly population home care or geriatric experience.
- Valid Colorado Drivers License and proof of auto insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 30 lbs.
