We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Analyst to join our team. The Database Analyst will be responsible for the design implementation maintenance and optimization of database systems to ensure the efficient and secure storage retrieval and analysis of data. This role is critical to supporting data-driven decision-making and operational effectiveness across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain relational and non-relational database systems.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Write and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and scripts for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes.
Ensure database integrity security and availability through regular monitoring and maintenance.
Perform data analysis and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
Troubleshoot database-related issues identify root causes and implement timely resolutions.
Collaborate with application developers data scientists and IT teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Document database structures configurations and procedures.
Implement data backup recovery and archiving strategies according to company policies.
Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
2 years of experience as a database analyst administrator or developer.
Proficiency with SQL and experience working with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of database design normalization and data modeling techniques.
Experience with ETL processes and tools.
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations and security best practices.
Annual Salary Range: $70000 - $95000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
