We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Support Engineer to join our team. The Automation Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support troubleshooting and maintenance for automation systems and solutions across various operational environments. This role is integral to ensuring the optimized performance reliability and continuous improvement of automated processes within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide remote and on-site technical support for automation systems including PLCs SCADA HMIs robotics and related control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation hardware software and network connectivity.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement test and validate automation solutions.
Assist in system upgrades migrations and the integration of new automation technologies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for support activities configurations and process changes.
Monitor system performance analyze data and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Train end-users operators and maintenance personnel on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards in all automation support activities.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide timely and professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Computer Science or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
2 years of experience supporting automation/control systems (e.g. Allen-Bradley Siemens Schneider Electric).
Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs SCADA HMI and networking components.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus Profibus Ethernet/IP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation or work flexible hours as needed.
Experience with regulated manufacturing environments (pharma food automotive etc.) is a plus.
Annual Pay and Benefits:
Annual Salary Range: $80000 - $110000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
