The Senior Back-End Services Application Developer is an individual contributor that will be focus in building and maintaining the APIs micro-services and system integrations that support advanced data and analytics solutions.

This position translates business and data requirements into efficient backend solutions using modern programming frameworks containerized environments and automated CI/CD pipelines. As part of the DevOps Engineering Shared Services group you will contribute to the development of new analytics products while continuously enhancing existing enterprise-grade platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop test and maintain micro-services backend APIs server-side components and containerized services in partnership with Product Managers Web Developers and Platform Architects.
Build integration and data access layers for supply chain and analytics applications ensuring performance security and reusability.
Collaborate with front-end and portal development teams to ensure seamless API communication and data exchange across distributed systems.
Write clean maintainable code using Python Java or TypeScript with frameworks such as Django Fast API Spring Boot or similar.
Develop and maintain containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
Integrate with enterprise databasesincluding PostgreSQL Databricks Delta Neo4j Knowledge Graphs and related servicesusing secure and optimized data layers.
Implement monitoring observability and logging solutions using DataDog Prometheus/Grafana Elastic Stack or similar tools.
Participate in architectural discussions and provide recommendations on performance scalability and maintainability.
Engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning retrospectives and backlog refinement.
Partner with QA and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality code automated testing and compliance with secure development standards (SAST/DAST).
Support security and compliance reviews ensuring adherence to InfoSec standards and regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.
Provide leadership through code reviews enforcing best practices and mentoring peers on coding standards version control and DevSecOps workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline (Masters preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development for enterprise systems SaaS platforms or data analytics solutions.
Strong proficiency in backend development using Python (Django FastAPI) Java (Spring Boot) or TypeScript ( designing and managing REST OpenAPI and GraphQL interfaces with strong knowledge of versioning and security standards.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerized environments: Docker Kubernetes Helm Terraform ArgoCD.
Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL Neo4j MongoDB and Redis.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and SAST/DAST tools; experience with GitHub Enterprise or Jenkins preferred.
Experience with message queues or event streaming platforms (Kafka RabbitMQ Azure Event Hub) preferred.
Solid grounding in secure coding principles authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2.0 JWT OpenID Connect FIDO2) and encryption practices.
Experience deploying and supporting production workloads in Azure or AWS; hybrid environments preferred.
Deep experience deploying microservices to Kubernetes using Helm Charts and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform and ArgoCD.
Knowledge of inter-service communication frameworks such as Istio and secure communication protocols like mTLS.
Experience building multi-tier microservice architectures where middle-tier apps interact with RDBMS systems and expose secure APIs for other services.
