About Us

Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About Rosebank College Academic Mentoring Program (RAMP)

A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College offers current students of the College the option for additional Academic Mentoring Tutoring outside of College hours and is referred to as RAMP which stands for Rosebank Academic Mentoring Program.

We are seeking talented experienced Tutors in all subject areas for students between grades 7 and 12. Tutors are required to support both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel to realise their full potential. Tutors work with individual students one-on-one and through group tutoring activities for students who are studying the same material. The RAMP Team offers compassionate motivating assistance to all students of Rosebank and we require our Tutors to do the same.

Rosebank College takes great pride in our academic achievements and in the positive influence our Tutors have on students. We are continually seeking well-experienced tutors and high achieving ex students to join our program. This role is well suited for recent school graduates or university students who are seeking casual employment and can be available to work a consistent work schedule.

About You

To be considered for Casual RAMP Tutoring applicants must demonstrate the following knowledge skills and experience:

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with parents students and staff.
  • The ability to work effectively with young people to develop successful study habits.
  • Experience facilitating tutoring (desirable not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Committed enthusiastic and innovative individual.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team.
  • Sound knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • A general understanding of NSW curriculum.
  • Possess a valid and current Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one.
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles.
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College.

The appointment of successful candidates is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment screening for child-related employment as well as reference checks.
