- Deliver direct patient care on a med-surg unit including comprehensive assessments developing and updating care plans medication administration and monitoring for changes in condition.
- Execute post-operative and medical-surgical care plans manage acute symptoms and collaborate with physicians therapists and case managers to optimize recovery.
- Provide patient and family education to promote understanding adherence and safe transitions from hospital to home.
- Uphold safety infection control documentation and regulatory compliance while modeling professional behavior for teammates.
- Seek growth within Med Surg through cross-training quality improvement projects and potential clinical leadership or precepting roles for new staff.
